These are my top 10 favorite songs to listen to that can brighten my spirit or encourage me.

When I am having a rough time in my life, I listen to many different songs that can help encourage me. These are my top favorite songs right now.

  1. Tell Your Heart To Beat Again by Phillips, Craig, and Dean

Listen to the story behind this song. This song encourages me to see the new beginnings in my life. I can leave the past where it is and start new.

2. Even If by Mercy Me

We all have struggles in our lives, and through these times it is hard to continue to praise the Lord. This song is such a great reminder that our hope is in God. God doesn’t always give us what we want, but we can praise him no matter what. You can read about my journey learning to trust God and be thankful in all circumstances.

3. Need You Now by Plumb

Such a great song to listen to when you are crying out to God in your need for him.

4. Just Be Held by Casting Crowns

Remember we can find rest in God’s hands. He has it under control. This song makes me feel God’s arms surrounding me.

5. Good Good Father by Chris Tomlin

I love singing God’s praises! We have a good Father.

6. One Pair of Hands by Carroll Roberson

It is amazing everything that God has done, and he deserves our praise and trust.

7. Come To Me by Bethel and Jenn Johnson

God will never abandon us. I just love how this song calls to us to return to God.

8. Healing Begins by Tenth Avenue North

This is an awesome one! When I listen to this song, it helps me to realize where I need healing in my life and brings me peace.

9. I am not alone by Kari Jobe

When you are feeling alone, abandoned, or forgotten; you need to listen to this song. God never leaves us alone.

10. Flawless by Mercy Me

We are weighed down by different labels that we are given. We need to remember that the only “label” that matters to us is being labeled children of God

Bonus: Get Back Up Again by Toby Mac
     Greater by Mercy Me

These two songs have a nice energetic tempo. My kids just love to listen to these songs, and they ask for them whenever we get in the car.

These artists all have AMAZING songs, and depending on your season of life it may depend which touch your heart the most. Right now, Even If and Greater are playing in my car. What songs have recently really touched you? I would love to hear about them.

  2. Good Good Father is one of my many favorite songs. My whole family enjoys Toby Mac. Speak Life is one of our favorite songs. It has helped our family to watch our words many times. These days, all I need to say is remember to Speak Life and usually the attitude changes.

  3. I am a HUGE Andrew Peterson fan – dare I say SUPER fan. His words and music touch the depths of my heart and fill me with hope. As for “kicking it” songs, I have to say most of the Crowder experience makes me want to dance 🙂

    1. I had no heard Andrew Peterson before; he has great songs! I just listened to Dancing in the Mine Fields. Great suggestion.
